Stollgan

Nanaimo, BC

I met stollgan around two years ago after I got into contact with him through creating the "BC Discover" playlist. we talked mildly then eventually he invited me to film for his upcoming concert/show "Homeyfest" i was hesitant at first but eventually i agreed after I convinced cheeserr to come with me. I went with cheeserr and we ended up staying most of the show getting clips and enjoying the music. till eventually we had to leave then afterwards we compiled the footage and got to making the Homeyfest Vol 1 Recap. the year after I was invited again but cheeserr was busy so i invited my other friend "KNchrome" and he agreed to come. and that's how the homeyfest videos were done. stollgan is a very talented individual with him doing a couple of different styles such as Screamo Rap, Trap, And Lo-fi his most popular songs are "Untouchables" . "Moonlit Sea" and "Chad Diss"

Tray Seez

Detroit, Michigan

I first met tray seez around 2 and a half years ago when he still went under the hip-hop name "Tray Season" and did music streams daily. After getting to know seez and collabing with him a few times on YouTube while live. I requested an interview for my new series i had started. at the time seez made your more typical trap style hip-hop now he's heavily invested in scripture trap type music an experimental combo of high sounding trap with gospel and bible elements truly his own style. his most popular songs are "Eternal Life" , "Kick It Off" and "Valuable" which are on all platforms

$insation

Las Vegas, United States

I was first brought into contact with $insation around 2 years ago when he was still using the name "HXM4R". I met him through one of my best friends "Cheeserr". They were connected for quite awhile before I was even made aware of $insation. Once he told me about him and showed me his talent I was immediately impressed, so I reached out and requested to work with him through "Cheeserr". Next thing you know the "Rock-hard" video was complete and posted. $insation is definitely a stand out artist from the vibe he portrays to the sound he carries. Every song is unexpected and well produced.

RZZY

Winnipeg, Ontario

I first met "RZZY!" online through "Ca$ey" after our collab when he still went by the name "RizzyGoCrazy". He is definitely a stand out with his fast lyricism and unique sounding voice. After getting into contact with him through "Ca$ey", he let me pick the track for our collab and I ended up settling on his freestyle track due to the fact it felt like some of his best work, especially for a freestyle. I'm not sure if he still makes music due to me not being in contact with him anymore.

Eve

Nanaimo, BC

I met eve through SoundCloud around five years ago, in 2020, just before covid-19 put the world to halt. Eve was actually one of the first people I ever smoked with and I have countless great memories with him. When I first met him he made Lil Peep inspired music and it was very much a part of his sound, but as he developed his skill and his music making ability he slowly created his own style of emo rap with a very unique sound. Eve still makes music here and there leaving every time he drops to be desired.

Girly

Abbotsford, BC

I first met girly through Instagram. After we connected he asked me about visuals and I showed him previous work I've done, and he agreed to have a video done for his song "12". He had a very unique style at the time and it's safe to say that style has only evolved, especially noticeably with songs like "Pray 4 My Hat" and "Actor Pt.1". He has grown a successful cult fanbase that is always looking forward to what he's doing next.

Suissidee

Bakersfield, California

I don't quite remember how we got into contact with suissidee but I do somewhat remember meeting him for the first time online. He immediately caught my attention for having such a similar style to Lil Peep while also being different simultaneously. I reached out and we agreed on a collab video for his song "Touch The Sky" which is now one of my highest viewed videos. I remember him being super chill and laidback not giving the vibe of really giving a f*ck. We never really stayed in contact other then following each other on Instagram for awhile, but at some point I assume during my hiatus he unfollowed me and pursed other goals. Sometime around a year or two after our collab he dropped the song "Dark Side Of The Moon" which blew up super heavily racking up to 7 Million views on YouTube. He is now a decently sized underground artist with a cult following steadily climbing his way up in fame and quality.

Blake K

Bakersfield, California

I met Blake K online through the SoundCloud weekly playlist. He seemed talented in what he did so I reached out to him looking to make a video for his song "Blue". He agreed so I got to work. At the time I had no other genres of music currently on my channel so I was super excited with the thought of evolving from just hip-hop/rap to multiple genres. I don't remember a lot of our other conversations since it was so long ago, and to be honest I don't know what he is up to these days considering his Instagram seems to be ghosted, and I cant easily find him on anything else.

Trash Pak

Nanaimo, BC

Trash Pak formed around a year after me knowing GoggleBoyGarret. It was a trio rap group with a unique SoundCloud style of rap consisting of "GoggleBoyGarret", "AyyKayy", and "KKid". They became extremely popular while I was in grade 8, basically bringing most of the town together for a show that I got to attend to. GoggleBoyGarret gave me and KNchrome free admission and we got to filming the event. It was a chaotic but insanely fun experience that I will probably never forget. It also put me into contact with a lot of the people I met later on and would not have met them if that concert never happened.

Tyson

Nanaimo, BC

I met "Tyson" around the same time as "AyyKayy" and "Lil EEZ". He immediately stood out for his knowledge of production and his unique style that perfectly blended with "Lil EEZ". Me and him have met a few times over the years but most memorably would be the Trash Pak concert, where I attempted to film a surprise interview with him and it went too terribly. We had to take it off my page. Quite the funny experience. "Tyson" did end up quitting music eventually and deleting everything but there is still some old recordings such as features and unreleased tracks lying around on the internet.

Marto

Vancouver, BC

I met "Marto" online early on in his music career, while he was making indie style rap after getting more into contact with the Vancouver hip-hop scene around 2019. We never talked overall that much but I did get his approval to make a video/visualizer for his song "Thinking". From what I know of him now he keeps his talent of use and does more experimental/rage/trap music now, and has grown a decently sized fanbase through his new style and movement.

Shrugraps

Oregon, USA

I actually first met shrug while i was in grade 8 and had just completed my first video. i was searching for someone to react to it because i heard that was a thing that people did and i wanted some honest criticism and to show off how talented my local scene was. i found bakery music was streaming so I clicked on it and joined I don't know what it was if it was there personality or their humor but I actually ended up donating keep in mind I had never done it before . flash forward to today and we still talk but now shrug has fully overtaken the channel making us almost better friends. Shrug now makes gaming content but we still keep in touch and interact with each others content regularly.

Profiiit47

Surrey, BC

I first met profiiit47 through "Do It For Content" witch was his brand/movement at the time it consisted of people doing absolutely crazy shit while shouting "DO IT FOR CONTENT" it was pretty funny. One day he posted music and said that it was his and linked his SoundCloud so out of curiousness I did it and I was super impressed with not only the view counts but the actual quality of the music. I reached out we made a video and at some point he became somewhat of a friend. we actually ended up doing another video for the "MUDDY MOB MIX" witch was a rap group he was in at the time. me and "Profiiit47" actually went to "ohgeesy" live with him having to leave the show early due to a friend being kicked out. he also was one of the first collab tracks ive ever done with an artist with him featuring on a "shrug" song with me picking the beat.

Ziva

Brooklyn, US

I actually ended up meeting "Ziva" around 2019 through "12Elve" because he was managing her at the time. he showed me how talented she was and I was pretty amazed with her music so I reached out and asked if she wanted to collab on a video she agreed and that's when "Chucky's Bride" was made. we never ended up staying in contact just like 12Elve due to them having a fallout at some point at that naturally separating us but nonetheless she is still working on her music career it seems. Progressing her Style, Sound, and Art.

Ayykayy

Nanaimo, BC

I first met Ayykayy online when he joined Trash Pak with us only being somewhat acquainted with each other. we later met in person at the Trash Pak Live Event with him being so hilarious it made him immediately memorable. later on into his career he actually became one of my favorite local artists. I made a couple different videos for him such as "Xanny Bars" And "Bad B*tches" were well connected over the years after Trash Pak ended. Hanging out with the dabbed out group especially through $witchUp Tyson and LIL EEZ Its safe to say he became a good friend to me over the years.

Kid RaRRi

Nanaimo, BC

first time I met Kaenan Tanti from my memory was when he first joined "TrashPak" and he was rapping under the name "KKid" he was immediately a stand out for his different sounding voice. he later preformed at "Trash Pak Live" witch I then finally met him in person. some time after that he was featured on my channel with his new song at the time "Dreamo". A year or so later he took on the name "Kid RaRRi" Me and "Kid RaRRi" Don't talk much anymore but he seems to be doing well for himself with some of his songs reaching high play counts such as 28k on his song "Dope Kicks" and 7k on his song "Copy Cat"

ZuCI

ZuCI was the first female artist I had on my channel and she was extremely young at the time of our collab for her song "overthinking" with her only being around 13 she was still extremely talented for her age. she never ended up releasing that much music but the two songs she released "overthinking" and "Better Of As Friends" were good and did somewhat popoff on SoundCloud with overthinking reaching around 18k in plays. and better of as friends reaching 5k plays. At this point I no longer have her instagram so im not aware or sure of what shes mainly doing these days but her soundcloud profile is still active even if its not posting music.

12Elve

Oakland, California

12Elve was the first person I decided to collab with internationally. I'm not exactly sure the details of how we got into contact other than the possibility that I found him on SoundCloud Weekly or something along those lines. Anyways, we ended up working together and creating the video "Milk Carton". Easily some of my worst work for a video, although somehow after he was not disappointed and even worked with me again in the future. I don't know what happened to 12Elve he kind of fell off the map from what I know. I would love to find his Instagram or something to stay in contact but to be honest I don't know where or what he is doing.

ceefrizzy

Nanaimo, BC

I actually used to know "ceefrizzy" pretty well. When he was earlyish in his music career, I was originally put into contact by him from someone at my old high school in grade 8. He told me how fire my work was and showed me "ceefrizzy" who at the time went by the name "goggleboygarret", hyping him up and telling me that I should reach out and work with him since he's local. So I did. After making my third visual for his most popular song at the time "Trash Pak", we became friends and I supported him and his career whole heartedly, with at one point me even being his manager. He eventually created "Trash Pak", the trio rap group with other local artists "Ayykayy" and "KKid" having their first show giving me the invite to help out. I was hyped but also severely under experienced so the video was memorable to me for having so much I could've done better.

Skrill250

Nanaimo, BC

"Skrill250" was the third artist I ever posted on my channel along with "Tokyo". I was originally put into contact with Skrill through Cameron Whitcomb who were originally a part of the same rap group "VIC". After getting into contact with the group, I was amazed at the fact that they had music videos, shows, and a movement already established. "VIC" somewhat disbanded later on although I don't know much of the details. And from what I know, one of the last features Skrill250 has done was on the song "Superheros" by Maximum Gane, an artist that resides in Vancouver. One thing I do know is that they paved the way for Nanaimo hip-hop shows and movements, and I was deeply inspired by their early presence while I was getting started.

GEEKERTON

Nanaimo, BC

“Yung Dank” also known as “$witchUp” was the second artist I ever had on HipHooked, and is also one of my good friends after meeting him through his music. I've known him for quite awhile now and it's safe to say he's extremely talented when he puts his mind to it. Some examples are “Sippin Dirty”, “Hitting Licks”, and my personal favourite “Feel Alright”. He currently makes hip-hop under a new name “GEEKERTON”. He is also an amazing freestyler and I've had some of my best freestyling moments with him. Back in 2020, I filmed a video for a song he made with me in the studio in under an hour. It was technically my first music video, but it was so bad I don't consider it to be my first due to my editor and my lack of skills at the time.

Cameron Whitcomb

Nanaimo, BC

Cameron Whitcomb is a singer/songwriter from Nanaimo, BC. He successfully completed season 20 of American Idol, making his talent internationally known. He is currently signed to "Atlantic Records". Cameron Whitcomb was actually the first person ever featured on HipHooked, back in 2018. He used an alternative name for hip-hop at the time "Flipcheck". After getting the go ahead, I successfully made my first visual for his popular song at the time "Cocaine". After he moved to country music, he asked me to take down my old video as it was not the image he was trying to portray anymore. I took it down out of respect, and here we are today with him being a relatively successful artist with songs like "Medusa" And "Quitter" Gaining over 3 million views on YouTube.
